SNO CLINICAL TRIALS COURSE
November 17-18, 2020
Immediately preceding the SNO Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Application Deadline Extended to
Monday, June 29, 2020

Recognizing that there may be colleagues who were unable to submit their application for the 2020 SNO Clinical Trials Course by the original deadline, the decision has been made to extend the deadline to Monday, June 29, 2020. These are extraordinary times and SNO would like as many people as possible to have the opportunity to be considered for this important course. In the event that the course cannot be held in-person, SNO will deliver both the didactic lectures and the mentorship component of the course virtually.

Format of the course
The course will address the essentials of effective clinical trial design in the treatment of CNS malignancies.  Participation in the course is through a competitive application process, and is open to clinical fellows and junior clinical faculty from all neuro-oncology subspecialties.  SNO membership (Full or Trainee Level) is required.

After the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the first course in 2019, the planning committee has expanded the course, both in the number of participants as well as the content.  A total of 110 participants will be invited to attend a series of didactic lectures presented by pre-eminent faculty with specific areas of expertise with respect to clinical trial design and conduct.  A subgroup 36 participants will be invited to provide a more detailed protocol synopsis that will be shared with clinical and statistical mentors. These mentors will provide detailed feedback before, during, and after the course.
