On April 1st, the 24th Neuro-Tumor Club Meeting was held in the beautifully renovated School of Medicine Building at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. The meeting, hosted by the Emory Brain Tumor Center and sponsored by the Winship Cancer Institute, experienced record turnout with 179 participants. Two plenary lectures were given: one by Max Cooper, MD, a renowned immunologist and member of the National Academy of Sciences on “Ancient Antibodies against Cancer Cell Antigens” and the second by Eric Holland, MD, PhD, Director of the Nancy and Buster Alvord Brain Tumor Center of the University of Washington on “Single Cell Therapeutic Response in Mouse Models of Glioma”. There were 14 oral and 30 poster presentations, covering a variety of brain tumor research topics, and the meeting gave opportunities for the new generation of neuro-oncology scientists to present and discuss their work.

Congratulations to the meeting organizers at Emory University for putting together an exciting and dynamic program!
