Cancer Research UK Brain Tumour Conference

Following the highly successful meeting in 2018, the Cancer Research UK Brain Tumour Conference returns to London to hold the 2nd international Brain Tumour Conference together with Simona Parrinello at University College London, Michelle Monje-Deisseroth at Stanford University and Richard Gilbertson at Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, University of Cambridge.

The conference will unite the brightest minds in cancer research to discuss and debate some of the greatest issues in the field. The multidisciplinary programme combines expertise from across the breadth of brain tumour research, together with insights from allied disciplines, to spark new opportunities for collaborative research. The scientific steering committee have curated a programme guaranteed to generate fresh insights and scientific debate.

The intention is to provide a stimulating environment where scientists from across the research pipeline can showcase new discoveries, spark new collaborations, and create the synergy needed to accelerate progress for patients.

Themes include:
• Synaptogenesis and glioma
• Tools to manipulate the nervous system
• Stem cells and the developmental origins of brain tumours
• Neuroimmunology and therapeutic opportunities
• Understanding the microenvironment and new therapeutic opportunities
• Biology and omics for precision medicine
