Brain Tumor Meeting 2022
11th Brain Tumor Meeting
Berlin, Germany
May 19-20, 2022
More Information
We are happy to announce the Brain Tumor Meeting 2022 which will take place at the Max Delbrück Center für Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin (Germany) on May 19 - 20, 2022. The main focus of the meeting is to provide a platform for an interdisciplinary scientific exchange especially between scientists and clinicians. Recent discoveries on the role of glioma stem cells, on the interaction of gliomas with their microenvironment and on glioma cell death pathways have altered our understanding of glioma biology.
The deadline for
early registration
, abstract submission and stipend application is February 21, 2022.
Internationally renowned plenary speakers will present:
Gabriele Bergers (Leuven, Belgium)
"Metabolic traits of glioma invasion"
Giulio F. Draetta (Houston, USA)
"A novel potential therapeutic target in glioblastoma"
Rainer Glass (München, Germany)
"Converting NFKB into a tumor-suppressor"
Antonio Iavarone (New York, USA)
"Mechanisms of oncogenesis and precision medicine of glioblastoma"
Marcel Kool (Heidelberg, Germany)
"Pediatric brain tumors: how to translate all the molecular data into successful treatments for patients?"
Michelle Monje (Standford, USA)
"Glioma neuroscience: Neuron-glioma interactions drive glioma progression"
Itay Tirosh (Rehovot, Israel)
"Dissecting intra-tumor and inter-tumor heterogeneity in glioma"
Manuel Valiente (Madrid, Spain)
"Exploiting the translational potential of established and new brain metastasis models"
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are invited and the best presentations will be awarded prices. Stipends of up to 500 Euro will be available.
The meeting will take place at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin-Buch. It will start on Thursday, May 19, 2022, after lunch and will end in the afternoon of the next day on Friday, May 20, 2022. The registration fee is very low (€ 20 for students, € 60 for scientists) and includes coffee breaks.
In summer 2000 Berlin neuroscientists, neurosurgeons and neurologists focusing on brain tumors initiated this scientific conference. It was repeated since then biannually in the odd years and celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2022. Throughout this time the Brain Tumor Meeting gained national and international attention and attracted many leading scientists working on gliomas and other brain tumors.
