	Description: For everyone in the Asian countries who is doing clinical work as well as basic research on brain tumors. The memorable First Meeting of the Asian Society for Neuro-Oncology (ASNO) was held in Kumamoto on November 17-10, 2002. Professor Yukitaka Ushio, Kumamoto University Medical School, was the President of the Meeting. The honorary Presidents were Professors Kil Soo Choi, Seoul, Korea, and Kintomo Takakura, Tokyo, Japan. The Vice Presidents were Professors Young Soo Ha, SungNam, Korea, Lian-Fu Zhou, Shanghai, China, Lian-Shong Lee, Taipei, Taiwan, Masao Matsutani, Saitama, Japan. There were 142 papers presented from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and Turkey.
