Call for Proposals
Neuro-Oncology Symposium or
Educational Course in the Developing World
The Society for Neuro-Oncology is pleased to announce that it is now accepting proposals for a Neuro-Oncology Symposium or Educational Course in the Developing World. Introduced by Dr. Gelareh Zadeh, Chair of the SNO International Outreach Committee, this initiative is supported by Dr. Mark Bernstein, the Greg Wilkins-Barrick Chair at the University Health Network, University of Toronto, with additional matching support from the SNO Foundation. For this award cycle, the review committee would especially welcome submissions from sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.
A maximum $10,000 award will be given, based on the budget presented in the proposal.
Proposals should outline the development of a multidisciplinary course relevant to specific regional needs in the field of neuro-oncology. Please submit a brief (under 1000 words) proposal that includes the following information:
lead organizer(s) and institution(s)
description of the host city and rationale for choosing this location
description of how the course could improve clinical care of patients in the region
approximate dates proposed topics/agenda

The selection will be made by the end of June 2017. The successful applicant will be required to hold the course in 2018.
